Four Watches In Watch History

There are a lot of different styles of gents watches on the market today. In this article we will be reviewing a couple of different ones that have a rich history in the watch world. The watches that we will be talking about are Michel Jordi watches, Omega watches, Harry Winston watches, and the ever famous Rolex watch.

Michel Jordi watches are the first ones that we will be talking about today. The reason that Michel Jordi is in this article is because of his contribution of the twist lock system to the watch world. Back in 2004 he created the first ever twist lock on a watch that allowed for two faces on a single watch.

The next timepiece that we are going to talk about is the famous Omega brand watch. There are two reasons that this particular watch has ingrained itself into watch history and world history. The first reason that this company is so famous is that it was the official timepiece of the 1931 Los Angeles Olympic Games. The second reason that this watch company has made such a huge impact on watch history and the history of the world is that the "Speed master" model Omega watch was the worn on the 1969 moon landing, thus making the watch the first worn on the moon.

Harry Winston watches is our next topic of discussion in today's article. These watches made an impact on watch making history when their "Opus V" series became famous for being hand crafted and precisely timed by now famous watchmakers FP Journe and Greubel-Forsey et al. These watches sell for around two hundred and fifty thousand dollars.

Now onto one of the most famous watches in all of history, the Rolex watch. This company which began in 1905 by Hans Wilsdorf and W Davis established their watch company called Wilsdorf and Davis. This company which in 1908 became Rolex was the first wrist watch company or pocket watch company to make a truly water proof watch, it is the "Oyster". Rolex was also the first company to come out with an automatic date watch called the "Date just", and the fist dive watch called the "submariner".

The Rolex, Omega, Harry Winston and Michel Jordi are just some of the key players in wrist watch history. There are tons and tons of other watches and watchmakers that have all played important roles in history this was just a brief overview of some of the more famous ones.

Much has changed over time. The clothes we wear has evolved from leaves of tunics clothing that is on the back today. Transportation has evolved to travel on foot from moving by the animal to travel by cars, airplanes and trains.

Telling time has also evolved. Many years ago, people have only the time in the sun in the sky placement. Then the invention of the sundial was the case. Finally, the clocks and watches that we use today were invented.

Watches have also evolved with time and change. Watches have been mechanical, battery powered, solar powered, and kinetic. In the nineteenth century Cartier among others popularized the wrist watches that we now wear.

The function of watches has also evolved. The first watches only told once. Secondly, many watches told the time and date. Now you can find a watch that will calculate for you. You can also take pictures, listen to music and watch movies using a watch.

The function of watches is not the only thing that people look at when they decide on the clock going to wear. They also look at the style of watch. Divers look for a sub clock able to withstand a strong pressure.

Connoisseurs of gold watches to search, with watches jewelry, or watches that are unique in different ways. The scientific research on wristwatches that can help them do their job better. Adventurers search for watches that are sturdy and functional for their lifestyle.

Children are attracted to watches that are cute and whimsical. Sometimes they ask those who play small air as watches Disney. Adolescents tend to seek a watch that is fashionable and trendy.

The watch that we wear is not only functional, but said that we are as a person. Make sure the watch you choose shows people your true self. Your watch must accompany your arms and your sense of fashion.

Like us, in clothing, fashion change, the way we sense in watches. The watches are being transformed to meet the current trends and styles. Some things in this world May be done to change the clock, however, may change as the needs of people and will continue to change.
